The
versatile Glendon Thompson has over 25 years of business experience, in the
information technology, construction design/build, energy conservation and
tourism fields. His professional career spans ownership, management systems
analysis, architectural design, development, implementation and maintenance of
several business systems, energy conservation and construction projects. Glendon
mixes the aesthetic sensibilities required of a design architect with the
analytical and organizational skills of a computer systems analyst. The
industrious Mr. Thompson is also involved in the energy conservation and
renewable energy generation arenas. Glendon applies an exceptional work ethic to
every project. Mr.
Thompson is the managing director for Arcom Group, Inc. a construction
design/build, energy and information technology enterprise. He is also the
director for Peggy’s Bottom Retreat resort in Jamaica, West Indies. Mr.
Thompson exhibits his commitment to the community by his involvement with
sponsorship of youth events in his native Jamaica; his membership with the City
of Atlanta Advisory Committee on International Relations; his founding of the
International Association of Caribbean Organizations; his membership in the South
African American Business Association of the USA, Inc.; his membership in the
National Association of Chinese Americans The
talented Mr. Thompson earned both his degrees, a B. Sc. in Architecture (cum
laude) in 1978 and a B. Sc. in Computer Science in 1979, at the City College of
New York. The
self-motivated Mr. Thompson is committed to continued learning and as such
earned certificates from the Greater Atlanta Economic Alliance, Construction
Business Management Institute 2002 and 2004; Cobb County Habitat for Humanity
Site Project Manager 2003; Energy Automation Systems, Inc. Certified Energy
